Practice 17 "Descriptive lead"

In 1949 a very controversial book was published called 1984 where George Orwell describes a society in which they are watched by the elite. This book opened up a debate about whether the government should be watching us and it was a before and after. It also made us think about the advantages and disadvantages of the government having equipment and tools to control the population and know what they are doing at all times. But, for being a good government, it is not necessary to have surveillance for controlling the population as governments can not be aware of everything, it would be pretty expensive and they do not have the enough power for controlling their population and have that amount of information.
